To answer the research question, “How does a company’s use of cybersecurity technology affect its performance?” we examined the impact of various technological elements, environmental and organizational factors on an organization’s decision of implementing these technologies. We employed the TOE framework to analyze the effect of these factors on the willingness of organizations and their capacity to adopt cybersecurity technologies.
The TOE framework comprises four components: (1) perceived usefulness, (2) perceived ease of use, and (3) the ability to observe. We found that these three variables affected the companies’ plans to adopt cybersecurity tools as well as their performance.
